Being in Jalandhar for the past few days, I realised how close are we to the Dark Ages..?? Hearing ppl screaming and shouting for help... seeing buses go ablaze... windowpanes of the cars being samshed like anythg... coming to know 2000 ppl locked up in Haveli(jst 5 mins from my house)... A train being put on fire(jst 3 kms from my place)... Ppl moving around with open swords(in front of me)... Shops being ransacked... Railway Stations, Bus Stands being stranded... It was all that mst have put each and evry Jalandharian to shame... And Punjabiyat too... And this is certainly not what we are known for??
Seeing all this from so close, A shiver runs down my spine and I m forced to ask myself...
Do we really need a religion at all??
And this is one question which will be raised evry time such an incident happens again... Though I dun hv deep knowledge of what all religions preach, but I can certainly say that none of them preaches voilence...
Fighting on the basis of the religion can have dangerous repercussions... Punjab suffered a loss of around 7000 crores in these four days... This is nothing but the result of our Mental Bankruptcy... Nothing happened in Chandigarh because people there are educated..
Here I have a question to ask ppl responsible for it... If you were so enraged by the shooting incident, Why didnt u board a flight to Vienna and took ur revenge there? Why did you choose to hold a voilent protest here and destroy public property? What was the fun of setting buses on fire? What did u want to show by locking up 2000 ppl in Haveli and smashing their cars outside? And did setting ablaze a train give u some Param Vir Chakra?? And the most important question... Did this serve ur purpose? Are you happy now?
These are the few questions that have to be answered in days to come... With this I leave it to all those who come across my post to read and decide for themselves... Again I have the same question..

Nice one inder......according to me they do laundry of politicians, They did this for the One person, but they don't know how many innocient people are suffered by this....now think if they who are suffered by all this voilence decided to take revenge,,,,,,,,,chain reaction will take place.........we are just forcing ourself into the past and pure economical conditions............not into future which are developed nations are going for ........its too shamefull to us...........
ReplyDeletevery well agree wid u.....Infact, wot i feel is..India shudnt hv any religion at all. Nothing has actually changed...even 100 yrs back ppl were the same when its bout religion.....n even today...but even now, dey cant understand the difference b/w religion and violence. Pitty on ppl who still go for such distruction in the name of religion. N pitty on the country for it still hv ppl to make ppl go for such a violence in the name of religion. N pitty on the citizens....who still dont hv their own brains...
ReplyDeleteI think....such topics shud not be jst limited to our blogs but taken further....
these people need a so called reason 2 create voilence. most of them did not even know who has died? and why are they creating this miserable situation. all the pleasure with the word jalandhar was missing these past few days. i so agree with u bhya. n certainly support u in this and appreciate ur initiaitive. i want these people to get a lil bit mature or else it will not b good for our own punjab.
ReplyDeleteAaawsum post Sir!!! Mani was right!!She told me u write vry well. You hv good writing skills.
ReplyDeleteAs far as topic is concerned religion is not meant to fight upon but to get together. to bond together.but it is awful thet ppl are using it to create ruckus and voilence just for their vested interests.I think we shud rise now and stop fughting over these issues. For how long will we keep making these mistakes again n again? If thats wat religion has to giv to us we dont need religion.
Superb post dude...!!! nice one...
ReplyDeleteI feel we all should co-operate each other in such kind of situations.. rathe rthan showing our anger on others or public property... If we do tht its once again we are the one who are damaging the country's property... help one other... and take a rgt decision at rgt.. time.. 2 prevent such kinda problems...
